NotesLocated in front of the Rodeway Inn (originally Cross Country Inn, and once Best Western ), and currently Taqueria Los Jaliscienses #2 Restaurant. This Googie-roofed restaurant still sits near the intersection of 290 East and I-35 in Austin, and is reminiscent of Paul William’s La Concha Motel in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, its floor to roof glass windows were removed and replaced with smaller, standard ones. In 2019, the restaurant received a more lively repainting, making it one of Austin’s last and best roadside treasures.
