4904 Griggs Rd. – Houston TX (built 1940s; also Younger Brothers Transportation Co., Gulf Coast Boat Co., CES Environmental Services)
This building was most recently owned by the haphazard waste recycling company CES Environmental Services. Three CES workers died within a year and there were multiple explosions and fires around 2009 at the Griggs location, which is adjacent to a neighborhood. In 2010 the company was fined $1.5 million by OSHA and then filed for bankruptcy. In 2012 the owner was charged with illegally transporting hazardous materials with workers exposed to hazardous gasses, which resulted in two of the employee deaths.
Thomas Gully (Kuhlman Gully to the north) also ran behind the property:
