Pointing to preliminary work well underway, County Commissioner Kyle Chapman estimates the Sylvan Beach Park – vista-deck pavilion with huge air-conditioned dance floor, swimming pool, fishing-boating pier, playgrounds and picnic area – will be completed by late summer to offer “one of the finest recreational facilities in the country.”
