1103 (historically 1101-1109) Franklin St. – Houston TX (build date unknown)
Originally the Franklin Auto Hotel, this early parking garage was also known as the McCreight Parking Garage (owned by Robert E. McCreight, who also ran a filling station on the next corner), First National Parking Garage, Coffee Parking Garage, and LAZ Parking. The filling station on the corner of Franklin and San Jacinto streets, next to the garage, was also a Gulf Refining Co. station and the long time Otis E. Knox service station. This old and rare station’s canopy was finally torn down some time between 2006 and 2008.
