8200 S. Main St. – Houston TX (built 1940; demolished 12/2005)
The Grant Motel’s 1940 structure was refurbished around the early 1960s from its art deco origins and eventually torn down in late 2005.


Grant Motel units feature carpeted floors, sound-proof walls, circulating ice water, and telephones, radios and 21″ televisions in every room. A children’s playground is provided, and some of Houston’s finest restaurants are conveniently located nearby.
